I always thought, it was just about the war for attention. But, NO! It was also about the shallowness of human connection.
What becomes a shame here? To engage with. What gains prestige here? To engage with. Which impression to engage with makes all the difference, though.
The prosaic reality of which impression has more brand value, and which engagement gives more exposure defines the action.
When the reflection draws all impressions, the reality is left alone. Abandoned. Unsupported.
Thus, it's not the power of human connection that is always seen here, but the shallowness of human connection too.
